Nanu
Gardenia brighamii

The native Hawaiian Nanu is sometimes called the Tree Gardenia due to it's ability to grow beyond 15' in the wild or with proper home cultivation.

PuaNanu  nanu flower treegardeniananu plants Even the small plants flower in season.

Plants shipped as:
c - cutting (clean, disease-free, propagule)
we ask that orders on cuttings be limited to 50 or more plants
es - established plant (6" or more with established roots)
plants come hot washed and bare rooted to ensure pest and disease free status

Grows best in rocky soil with good water retention with dry nights and moist days.  Place in an area that gets full morning to noon sun and shade/partial sun for the rest of the day. Organic based soil mix is best for starting plants either in the ground or in containers.  For indoor cultivation low EC (strength) liquid nutrients are best. For high light outdoor situations a combination of manures, slow release granular, and liquid nutrients will encourage vigorous growth.  We suggest using KumuGrowTM for vegetative growth cycle and PuaNuiTM flowering nutrients (started at beginning of flowering cycle) for overpowering flower fragrance and multiple budset.
